Film Review - Mothman Prophecies, The
Did you ever watch one of those movies that you had heard so much about only to have your hopes dashed. Guess what happened to me this weekend!
The Mothman Prophecies is a low grade horror flick that fails to deliver in all departments. Richard Gere plays a Washington Post reporter who ends up in a small town trying to figure out why he and the locals keep hearing voices.
This could have been a nice and scary movie. But no, the film maker wanted to con you into thinking he was re-creating something that really happened. So no monster, no blood caked on the walls. Nothing.
The end is just as satisfying. The movie goes out with a whimper. There's no pay off. The audience is cheated out of the 119 minutes to takes to watch this film. Be afraid, be very afraid they might make a sequel.
