Film Review - Young Sherlock Holmes
Remember when there was this time when all Spielberg movies had little boys in them? Guess whose production company made this film? No, Steven didn't direct this film, but it has a lot of him in it.
Young Sherlock Holmes is one of those forgettable stories. No real truths revealed here. But it is a period piece and those always suck me in. Some of the earliest 3D computer animation in a motion picture can been seen in this film.
But jeez do all the kids have to be smart, and all the adults complete idiots? That's something I hate in movies. Kids have no wisdom, they haven't paid for it with mistakes yet. That's where wisdom and learning come from.
If you liked Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (I didn't) this is better. It's implausible, but has nice flavor for a film.
