Indian Gargle
Penn and Teller are in India filming a documentary. Teller sent this report:
This morning I got up, a little fuzzy-headed, went to the sink and brushed my teeth to help wake me up. At the end, I reflexively took a scoop of water from the faucet to rinse out my mouth.
Instantly I recognized what I was doing, putting dangerous tap water into my system. I spat it out and grabbed for the bottle of Evian to rinse my mouth out with. I did it thoroughly, but still fancied I could taste the tap water. So I grabbed for the bottle of mouthwash and gargled.
It seemed awfully, awfully harsh. Then I looked at the label. I had inadvertently gargled with Tide Liquid Detergent.
So I grabbed the Evian and rinsed out my mouth. Of course, this produced LOTS of suds, so I did this again then again. Then I grabbed my real mouthwash and washed my mouth out several times with that, then gargled one final time with Evian, then brushed my teeth again.
I sure was wide awake.
